Broomsedge
Located in the Sandhills of South Carolina, will operate as a Limited Member Club. We deem this vision “private but accessible,” as we strongly believe the best golf courses in the world should be in reach for those who appreciate them. The course, designed by Kyle Franz and Mike Koprowski, embodies Golden Age minimalism in its truest form by leaving untouched the land’s dramatic chasms, ridgelines, valleys, plateaus, spines, hummocks, and hollows. Mother Nature built Broomsedge centuries ago – we just had to discover the holes.
Rough shaping began in Summer 2023 and is currently wrapping up. We expect to lay turf in Summer 2024 and be open for play by early 2025, with preview play potentially available by late 2024.
Why Is It Called Broomsedge?
The golf course is aptly named Broomsedge due to the extensive prevalence of broomsedge grass throughout its landscape. Known for its abundance in the region, broomsedge grass, a warm-season native species, not only contributes to the distinctive appearance of the golf course but also serves as a nod to the local flora's significance.
It’s All About Golf
Located on the same sand belt as Pinehurst, the terrain made the location of Broomsedge a no-brainer. “A minimal construction effort” as our crew names it.
The Land
Symbolizing the essence of Golden Age minimalism, the property stands as a serene testament to untouched beauty, where captivating chasms, majestic ridgelines, and expansive plateaus harmonize with winding spines, gentle hummocks, and peaceful hollows, creating a landscape of unparalleled tranquility and natural splendor.
